Below are the geography terms that we have covered in the mapping section of the geography unit.

Plan- drawing of what you would see looking down from the ceiling.

Scale- the ratio of the distance on a map to the real distance

Aerial photo- a photo taken form the air

As the crow flies- the straight line distance between two places

Sketch map- a simple/ rough map to do a job

OS (Ordnance Survey maps)- maps of places that are to scale and give a lot of detail

Contour Lines- line on a map joining places that are the same height above sea level

You are about to embark on an exciting adventure into the world of social studies and technology!  We will start by setting up a blog site for each of you, and then we will use those blogs to post various information.
